On March 3rd, 2018, National Baumkuchen Day, Baumkuchen Café, Futako Tamagawa’s sweets café, is reopening and looks, as well as tastes better than before! Transit General Office Inc., is in charge of the new menu and shop designs, so we’ve come up with fun lineup of lunch buffet options along with all of our desserts! We have a special afternoon tea set that includes our original meat pie, egg sandwich, 2 kinds of baum-cakes and so much more! We also have our signature dishes like the “Baumkuchen Milbaum” and “Strawberry Cream Parfait”. There is a variety of drink options too; coffee, flavored tea and cocktails, so stop by for a drink or two while you’re shopping!

02.The Stand: The Stand × Iichiko × Beam’s Japan Collaboration!

The Stand, located on the 2nd floor of Shinjuku Isetan, collaborates with “Iichiko” and “Beam’s Japan” in creating 3 new cocktails: “Lemon Sour”, “Colorless Tomato Sour” and “Salted Sakura Sour”! This collaboration, the “Iichiko Special”, will begin on March 7th to March 20th. All recipes are made in house and uses natural ingredients from around the country. You can also enjoy these cocktails with a mullet roe and smoked pickle potato salad, prosciutto and white asparagus salad or even buttered figs and sake lees, infused in sakura. You will also receive a free coaster if you order one of the 3 cocktails, so it gives you an even better reason to come by!

Starting March 9th to May 6th, Izama, will begin serving everyone’s favorite, “9 kinds of Obanzai Platter”! This year, we have a special spring menu that reflects the cherry blossom season and spirit. The theme is a spring vacation lunch box which is represented in the udo, warabi and mushrooms, as well as the tofu, miso and pickles. These items also represent the changing of seasons from the winter to spring. Why not get the true feeling of spring from your body?

Starting March 1st, Dominique Ansel Bakery will release 2 new desserts for the spring! The first is the “Green Tea Field” cake, which contains a green tea mousse, mascarpone and a mix of strawberry cream and jelly. Another item is the “Dango Cake”, a dessert made for a day at the park. In addition, this month’s cronut is a pomegranate jam and brown sugar ganache, coated with more brown sugar; a mix of both sweet and sour. Come and enjoy our spring menu!

Starting March 1st to April 30th, Okonomi Tamachan Aoyama will add an exciting new course to the menu: “Chili Chicken Hot Pot”!

This course includes an assortment of pickles, kimchi, Korean “chap-che” noodles, grilled tomato and cheese, house-made pork and all of our other shop favorites, along with the chili hot pot! It even includes noodles at the end of the meal, so it’s more than enough food. Only limited to this spring, come and try this course!

On March 3rd, world’s best shaved ice shop and brand, Ice Monster, will serve last year’s favorite, “Sakura Milk Shaved Ice”!

This dessert contains a sweet, milk shaved ice base topped with red bean paste, mochi balls, sakura espuma and salted sakura petals. The sweet yet salty flavor of this dessert is what makes people come back for more. This is the perfect thing to have as it warms up and gets closer to summer.

From March 1st to April 8th, Max Brenner Solamachi, will release last year’s favorite, “Sakura-Mochi Crepe Brulee”. This product has a caramelized outer layer with sakura ice cream and mochi inside, all wrapped in our very own waffle cone. This year’s plan is more than you could ask for: chili carne nachos, bacon, cheese and vegetable gratin, spare ribs, roasted pork, smoked chicken and so much more. Starting April 30th, The Gatehouse, presents this spring’s most beautiful dessert, “Strawberry Mille-Feuille, Basil and Black Pepper Scent”. This dessert contains black pepper scented vanilla ice cream, pie crust, custard cream, fresh strawberries and a basil and strawberry sauce. The smell of the black pepper, taste of the basil sauce blended with everything else is something you can only enjoy here.

Starting March 5th, The Theatre Table will launch new wines to the drink menu: “Codorníu Classico Rose” and “La Rosa Di Pacina”! The “Codorniu Classico Rose” has a charming berry scent that balances perfectly with the citrus wine flavor. The “La Rosa Di Pacina” is a popular, pure rose wine from Italy: spicy yet sweet by the mouth. For all the wine lovers- come and have a glass of rose!
