01,Grand opening of modern Vietnamese restaurant,

On November 30, 2019, Honolulu, Hawaii’s modern Vietnamese restaurant, The Pig & The Lady opens in Ebisu Tokyo!

Starting from a local farmers market in 2012 to the grand opening of The Pig & The Lady in downtown Chinatown a year later, this restaurant is a popular spot, loved by locals throughout the island as well as tourists visiting Oahu. Chef and owner Andrew Le is from a second generation Vietnamese family, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York and former sous-chef of Michelin star restaurant, Chef Mavro. His dishes revolve around his mother’s home-style recipes and his experiences in the French culinary scene. He blends both essences, as well as Hawaiian ingredients in creating his famous pho soups and other dishes. 

Some signature items include the Le Fried Chicken Wings: chicken wings with a juicy, sour yet sweet sauce, Pho 75: pieces of beef and brisket in a rich, flavorful broth, Vegetable Pho, Vietnamese Pizza and the Pho French Dip Banh Mi, beef, coriander, onions, Hoisin sauce in a warm baguette, all of which you dip into the bowl of pho soup!

02,Opening of a new and innovative workplace, "The Test Kitchen"!

On November 18, The Test Kitchen opens inside Portal Point Ebisu, located on the basement floor of Ebisu Garden Place, Glass Square!

The Test Kitchen or also known as the “Food Innovation Lab” is used as a test kitchen space for pop up’s and collaborations; a space where food becomes the new, focal part in communication.
The theme for lunch (11:30-15:00) is a dining space where anyone can easily come to. The menu changes weekly, ranging from Japanese, Western, Chinese cuisines in lunch box style. There are also “power” lunches; healthy salads and bowls, various sandwiches and even lemon rice with pulled pork from the famous Lemon Rice Tokyo. The coffee is roasted in Transit’s original coffee roaster, Little Darling Coffee Roasters, but for those who can’t drink coffee, there are also other housemade drink options.

For those working in the area, The Test Kitchen allows customers to order and pay through their cellphones. By implementing the system “Platform”, customers only need to go and pick up their food when it’s ready. Avoid the long lines, avoid the waiting times; perfect for either a relaxed, slow lunch or the opposite!

03,Okonomi Tamachan opens in Marui Family Mizonoguchi!

Originally from Osaka, Okonomi Tamachan has opened the second line of its brand, Okonomi Tamachan Jr. on the 2nd floor of Marui Family Mizonokuchi on November 27, 2019!

Okonomi Tamachan Jr. has a similar concept with the original brand, except that it focuses more on the drinking aspect of the meal, making it more of a bar style restaurant. The menu consists of many of the signature items including the Deluxe Okonomiyaki, Grilled Tomato and Cheese, Grilled Innards, Korean style Gyoza and Tamachan Exclusive Yannyom Chicken. A variety of lunch rice bowls available for lunch too!

On November 22, 2019, Transit General Office opens Tokyo Parade Goods & Café on the 6th floor of Parco Shibuya! The theme of the café is a cultural and diverse place; collaborating with no specific genre but providing customers with a new style of entertainment through food. The originality and uniqueness, as well as the connections that the contents create with the fans, is what will make customers want to come back for more.

We will open with the UUUM’s U-Fes, with menu items from Hikakin, Seikin, Hajime Shachono Hata, Fischer’s and Tokai On Air. Enjoy this new type of collaboration, created by those who’ve been highly recognized in each of their genres. We also have merchandise for those want something to take home!

The Stall, located on the first floor of the The Works in Naka Meguro, celebrates the restaurants 5th anniversary in November 2019!
Between December 4 and December 8, we will celebrate by opening our eyes on the food problems we will run into in the near future. The theme of the menu is locality for consumption and food recurrence. For lunch, we will be serving a delicious piece of beef revolving around vegetables, all of which leave no waste for society. For dessert, we will be serving Nagano’s slim red apples by creating the whole apple meringue crumble, in honor of those who were affected by the typhoon. And finally for dinner, everyone’s favorite, share style seasonal tapas, meat and seafood 7-course is back!
The TWC wall area will be a display of photographs of Stall, past to present, taken by former staff, Satoshi Matsui. On December 7, the bar area will also host an event where you can enjoy different wines and Japanese sake focusing around biodynamics. This is a place where people think positively about food and the future of food; come and celebrate our 5th year anniversary party!

From December 16 to December 25, The Apollo will be serving this Christmas’s exclusive dinner course! The 8-dish course is a variety of Greek dishes, all arranged to match the Christmas theme, but also using fresh and healthy ingredients. The course starts with the Gemista, a salad full of paprika and brown rice, followed by everyone’s favorite, Saganayaki Cheese. Then, for the main dish, customers will enjoy a grilled sea bream and lamb chops served with our original Greek sauce (can also be changed to beef for an additional 3,300 yen per person). The desert is the custard pie and an original mousse that uses Greek yogurt.

From December 22 to December 25, Longrain Tokyo will serve a 10-course Christmas dinner full of aromatic Thai dishes. The course begins with our signature starter, the Miang Kham, followed by 4 different appetizers. The main courses are two very rich items: the Threadfin Bream with Thai style miso sauce and the Roasted Duck Fillet. That’s not all; the main courses are then followed by the beef red curry and seafood green curry. Finally, the dessert is a nougat glasse with passion fruit and strawberry sauce. From December 21 to December 25, Italian restaurant, Fratelli Paradiso will serve an exclusive Christmas dinner course for this holiday season! This course includes a variety of our signature dishes, all of which are simple, classic and authentic. For starters, we have the bottarga pretzel with a side of cod roe, horse meat carpaccio and fried shrimp and scallops. The 2 pastas include the baby beef meat trattoria and sea urchin chitarra with caviar, followed by thinly sliced beef with truffle sauce. For dessert, we will serve the pistachio semi freddo. Barcelona’s popular seafood and paella restaurant, Xiringuito Escriba, will be serving a 7-course Christmas menu from December 21 to December 25!
For starters, the course begins with yellowtail ceviche, fried little fish and calamari and white wine infused mussels. The main item is ofcourse, our signature paella, garnished with 2 whole crabs, mussels and clams. From December 20 to December 25, 90-seat all day dining restaurant, Somewhere Restaurant & Bar, will collaborate with Tokyo’s Michelin star restaurant, Crony, in creating this winter’s 8-course Christmas menu. This course will consist of innovative, local and seasonal products of Kyushu while arranging it into a special Christmas experience. The main dish is the Saga beef sirloin steak, which is followed by a “classic” Christmas cake. The rest of the items can’t be explained; you’ll just have to see for yourself!

Café 1886 at Bosch collaborates with high-end German stuffed animal brand, Steiff between November 26 and December 25!

During this period, the interior will be decorated with Steiff stuffed animals and guests will be greeted with graphics and cut-outs inspired by illustrator Kahoko Sodeyama's “Warm German Christmas”. Also during this collaboration, we will be serving a Royal Milk Tea using Ronnefeldt’s Irish whiskey tea leaves, an original sour yet sweet strawberry milk tea as well as a housemade milk tea pudding.
